Liberal Studies Bachelor's of Arts

A major for students who seek subject matter preparation for elementary teaching or special education teaching as preparation for a post-baccalaureate credential program to be completed separately from the bachelor’s degree.

Liberal Studies Integrated Teacher Education Program (ITEP)

A major for students intending to become teachers who wish to combine subject matter preparation for elementary teaching with coursework leading to an integrated Multiple Subject Credential, Education Specialist Credential, or  both through the Urban Dual Teaching Credential.

Equity & Education Studies Minor

This minor allows students from outside of the College of Education to learn about the complexities involved in the field of Education and have the opportunity to complete at least one prerequisite for a chosen credential program for a more seamless transition from undergraduate to post-baccalaureate status.

Become an elementary school teacher.

Single Subject Credential Program

Become a middle or high school teacher.

PK-3 Early Childhood Education Specialist Instruction Credential

Teach Preschool, Transitional Kindergarten, Kindergarten, and grades 1-3.

Education Specialist Credential Program

Become a Special Education teacher and teach students with special needs.

Urban Dual Credential Program

Teach both in the elementary general education classroom as well as the elementary/middle school special education setting.
