Roderick De Los Reyes

Rod De Los Reyes is a Lecturer, Grant Personnel/Practicum Faculty, and Undergraduate Practicum Education Coordinator at ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµState University, Long Beach (ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ). Professor De Los Reyes primary experience is with work in outpatient mental health, Asian Pacific Islander Older Adult mental health, practicum education, and public child welfare. Particular areas of expertise include providing mental health services and practicum education/placement.

Rod De Los Reyes is part of The ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµTitle IV-E Education team. This program is a unique partnership between social work education and the publicly supported child welfare agencies. A goal of the ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµTitle IV-E Education Program is to recruit and prepare a diverse group of social workers for careers in public child welfare. ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµTitle IV-E Education Program provides financial support to BASW and MSW students in exchange for a commitment to work in a public child welfare agency after graduation. The intent of the program is to strengthen and enhance the quality of practice by professionally trained and educated public child welfare social workers. As part of his role is provide trainings throughout the year to students in The ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµTitle IV-E Program to prepare them for the work done in public child welfare. 

As the Undergraduate Practicum Education Coordinator Rod De Los Reyes leads a team of practicum staff in developing agency placements, practicum orientations, and placements of all BASW interns. Additionally, he provides support for the MSW internships and placements.
