CEEE Webinar: Creating a Sense of Belonging for STEM ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ
The latest webinar by the College of Education's Center for Evaluation and Educational Effectiveness (CEEE), "Creating a Sense of Belonging for STEM ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ through U.S. Department of Education-Funded Grants at Hispanic Serving Institutions," is the third in a series focused on supporting first-generation, low-income, and/or Hispanic students in STEM at Hispanic-Serving Institutions (HSIs), of which ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµ is one. The latest webinar features panelists Dr. Charles Lam and Dr. Jaimi Paschal from ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµState University, Bakersfield, and Iqbal Atwal and Dr. Harold Stanislaw from ÀóÖ¦ÊÓÆµState University, Stanislaus. In this session, experts provided an understanding of, and strategies for, using undergraduate research and peer and faculty mentoring activities to create a sense of belonging for STEM students at HSIs.
